Can I place a hold on a book that's checked out?

If an item is checked out, you may request that it be held for you when it is returned. The two ways to do this are:
- Make a hold request over the phone (919-760-8532) or in person
- Find the item by searching for it in the Books and More tab on the library's homepage, click the title, press the "Request" button on the right side of the screen, and fill out the form
